After Dark Films’ 8 Films to Die For HorrorFest:
After Dark Films is running a 8 Films To Die For HorrorFest. All eight horror films of the finalists will air in New York City on Halloween, October 31st, and then be shown in more than 300 theaters across the U.S. from November 9-18.
Festival Line-up:
Borderland – Three Americans travel to the Mexican border to celebrate their college graduation. There, they run into a cult looking for human sacrifices.
The Deaths of Ian Stone – An American, Ian Stone, is murdered each day by horrifying pursuers, only to wake up alive again the next day in a slightly different life and do it all over again.
Mulberry Street – Six evicted New York City dwellers fight off were-rats.
Nightmare Man – A tormented woman is convinced a supernatural entity is out to kill her. She escapes from this nightmare man and runs for help to a vacation cabin in the woods whose inhabitants aren’t sure whether they are under attack or the crazy lady is trying to kill them.
Tooth and Nail – Survivors in a post-apocalyptic Earth must fight off gangs of cannibals.
Unearthed – After a strange crash accident on a New Mexico highway, people start disappearing and plants and animals start dying, thanks to a mysterious killer creature.
Crazy Eights – Six friends reunite after two decades at a friend’s funeral. They dig up a time capsule they buried long ago and find in it the remains of a child from their past.
Lake Dead – Three sisters journey to their late grandfather’s lakeside cabin in hopes of claiming their inheritance. Instead, they find a band of butchers have taken up residence.
