Jules Verne Adventure Film Festival in Los Angeles:

After 15 years in Paris, the Jules Verne Adventure Film Festival is going Hollywood, and will be held in Los Angeles at the Los Angeles Theater and the Shrine Auditorium, December 6-16, 2007. There will be panels and honorees, as well as film screenings. Harrison Ford, William Shatner, Patrick Stewart, directors James Cameron and John Woo, comics god Stan Lee, and members of the cast from the movie Blade Runner and the television show Heroes are all slated to appear. NASA will be celebrating its 50^th anniversary with a presentation and down-link to the International Space Station. In addition to a remastered director's cut of Blade Runner and various other films, twenty-five documentaries will be shown, including Leonardo DiCaprio’s The 11^th Hour and In the Shadow of the Moon. The Jules Verne Award will also be presented. Festival emcee will be Malcolm McDowell.
