Submitted by Mike (Dec 14, 2001)I thoroughly enjoyed star wars when I was a kid and even now. Its lucidness attracted millions, and it proves that not everything that is extraordinarily popular is bad. There are, however, a few imbeciles who purposely put down this great movie because they like Star Trek better, yes, something as stupid as that. Well, these "trekkies", who are prone to humiliation from their peers (not to mention everyone else) and don't seem to understand that not everyone wants to wear a red uniform and speak Klingon like a lunatic. If you haven't seen Star Wars, I suggest you see it now. Hey, if it weren't good, George Lucas wouldn't be swimming in dough. However, don't bother with Episode 1.

Submitted by Star Trek Rules (Nov 23, 2001)Although it is true that Star Wars is one of the "greatest" movies of all time, it brought about the degradation of sci-fi movies. Before Star Wars was released, movies were becoming more complex and thinking was becoming something that was being done more and more in cinemas around the country. George Lucas himself was attempting to make the worst movie of all time. Although I know that it is possible to make a worse movie than Star Wars, Lucas sure came close to what he was looking to do. There are several examples of why these movies is not what it is cracked up to be. Most importantly, Jaba the Hud looks like all the boogers ever to come of my nose as a child. Well, class is over so I must go. Have nice lives all of you who are lovers of the sci-fi society.
