I belive conan is not only one of the greatest s&s movies ever but one of the greatest warrior movies! form the very begining to the bloody end this movie catches the warrior spirit. the forging of the sword was wonderful the fighting great and I dont think you could get a better actor to play a powerful norseman that becomes king by his own hand but that is another story

For anyone who has taken the time to read Howard's original works - one can clearly see that Arnold's acting is great. He captures the true essence of Conan - and does a great job doing it.

I think that conan the barbarian is perhaps one of the greatest fantasy films ever. Not because of the acting, oh no, but simply because of the fantastic storyline and the brilliant action sequences. None ever seems to look past Mr Swartzneggers lacking acting skills, but my fellow fantasy film fans, if you do, you will be pleasantly surprised.
