This movie has the wrong title. It should be named "Models in Space"!
I actually wanted to leave the theatre at the first half-hour, which is something I almost never do. No matter how bad a movie is, I usually watch it until the end. But I was not alone at the theatre, so I had to endure the whole movie.
Starting with the characters of the movie, I found them shallow and militaristic. No acting, it was like watching models parade in a movie (the previous title I mentioned).
The story in itself got downgraded a lot from the wonderful book by Robert Heinlein. I actually read the book after seeing the movie, and understood that movie and book had almost nothing in common.
If someone told me to quote the 10 worst SF movies, this one would definitely be in it.
