Hello to everyone and welcome to this, my first blog on SFFWorld.com.
My name is Jon Sprunk and I live in central PA. I am married (7 years this February) and we have a son.
I have been writing for quite some time, but it wasn't until college (eons ago) that I began to believe that I could do this as a career. Fast-forward to 2009 and, after several crash-and-burns, my debut fantasy novel goes on sale next summer.
Its been a long road, and now I feel that my true journey is just beginning. There's all the feelings you get when you start a new chapter in your life -- excitement, fear, anticipation, uncertainty. Its a wonderful ride.
I did a pod cast interview recently and I was asked if I had any advice for aspiring writers. My answer was simple: write as much as possible, read everything you can get your hands on, and never give up. It can happen to you. I'm living proof.

I believe it is possible for you, tsmo. I'm not saying it will be necessarily fast or easy, but it can happen. If you love to write, some part of you needs to believe. And giving up isn't an optionPosted November 6th, 2009 at 01:59 PM by Jon Sprunk
