I'm gonna try and it pry it open. When that happens, you escape, understand!"

"No! No! We can escape together. Let's try slamming it open with the pod!"

"Stop being stupid and do as I say! There's no way I'm letting you die." Dmitri said.

"You idiot! There's no way I'm letting you die for me! We'll just die together."

"Shut up! You must live Rune!"

Rune stopped.

No, not again.

The ship shook more violently this time.

"Pay attention Rune! When I give you the go, use what you learned and get out of here as fast you can. I know the pod has some weaponry, but it's for defense only. You have to run away. Don't stay and fight. I know you Rune. I knew you the first time I saw you. You're so full of revenge and rage. You have so much talent, but you shouldn't use it this way. If you manage to escape, please leave the Restat SMD. Don't let revenge sully your life, Rune."

"I'm going to kill them, Dmitri!"

"No!"

"I'm going to kill them all!"

"You're so damn stubborn!" Dmitri yelled. "Maybe that's why I love you so much. Now Rune!"

Using one of the ship's heavy machinery, Dmitri forced the hatch open. Shaking, Rune pulled down the accelerating lever of the escape pod, flying out through the hole that Dmitri managed to make for her.

Fire and light exploded behind her.

She screamed, frustrated, angry, and hurt. Why did it have to happen again?

Rune clutched the pilot controls, dripping her tears unto the console. Gritting her teeth, she maneuvered her small ship around.

The Dramora weapons ship, surrounded by numerous smaller spacecrafts, sailed across from her. Reason told her to run away as Dmitri had advised her. There was no way in hell that she could bring down the massive cruiser and its company with an escape pod's blasters. Rune, however, lost her reason four years ago and she lost more of it when Dmitri died. Rage ruled her mind.

Rune went berserk.

"I'm going to kill them all, Dmitri!"

"Attention space-craft 22-376. This is the Restat Army ship RR-723. Is anyone alive in there? I repeat, is anyone alive in there?"

Rune stirred awake at the voice coming out of her pod's communication speakers. She blinked.

"Attention space-craft 22-376. This is the..."

"I'm alive, sir," Rune said, taking and speaking through the transmitter.

"Identify yourself."

"I am Rune Menogor, Restat Special Mission Division soldier, class A," Rune replied, her voice monotone.

"Menogor, are you alone?"

"Yes sir."

"Our captain wishes to speak to you."

"SMD class A soldier Menogor?" an older voice asked.

"Yes sir?"

"Who helped you destroy the Dramora Dregnet weapons ship and its company?"

"What?"

"Look outside, soldier. It's a ship graveyard out here."

Rune dropped the communicator. She gaped outside. The Dramora ships lay in ruins all around her. Large pieces of metal ship pieces floated by her escape pod. Rune covered her mouth.

Did I do this? She could not remember.

"Well soldier?" the captain asked again.

"I don't know, sir.
