(Page 2 of 2) Cycle of Death, another life... by Dan Sagmiller A flow of life, fear, anxiety, and emotions hard to conceive passed from Dave to it. The addiction was strong, and cut out most of it's ability to think. To forget about what or who it used to be.
It was drifting through the air, twisting and shifting until it eventually laid down in perfect conformation to Dave. With a final push from it, Dave became frozen with a knowledge that something was right there staring into his eyes, from within.
The fear was numbing to the creature, and it was unable to move. As it had complete control of Dave, Dave was unable to move either. Eventually the fear became to strong, and the numbing silenced their connection. Dave found himself sitting up.
The creature was auxiluarated, but frozen with numbness. Thinking no tangible thoughts, it wanted to be reattached.
For several hours, it waited for Dave to fall asleep again. Eventually, the fear subsided, and Dave could not help but sleep. As he lay down, the shift began again, and this time, it managed to wait until he was in a depe sleep, resisting all urges to attach for several hours longer.
Dave woke up the next day, lying down in bed. He saw his body rise, without him. His mind was warry, and unfocused. As his body reached over, to open the blinds, he found himself hurting immensly from it, and crawled into any shadows he could reach.
