Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina on December 31st, 1961, Fabian Nicieza moved to the U.S. aged three and is most well known for his work on the X-Men comics. Beginning with runs on The New Warriors, Captain America and Avengers, Nicieza's career took off when he co-plotted the final issues of the New Mutants title in 1991 - creating Deadpool, Shatterstar and X-Force in the process. What followed was a three year run on the X-Men comic, taking in story arcs such as X-Cutioners Song and Age of Apocalypse, aswell as writing the first Cable mini-series and first few issues of the main Cable run. After a two year spell at Acclaim comics, overseeing the successful game conversion Turok, Nicieza returned to the X-Men universe writing predominantly for Marvel and currently writes the Cable/Deadpool series.
