Blood of Mystery by Mark Anthony

There are two separate storylines running in this, the 4th book in the Last Rune Series.

Travis and three of his friends are stuck on earth, back in the 1800's. They must try and find Jack, the Rune Lord who will, in the future, give Travis his powers. Unfortunately, the Pale King is trying to break free, and his sorcerer has followed Travis back to Earth. On Eldh, Grace and the rest of the group are searching for their lost companions, unaware they are back on Earth, in the past. Grace discovers her heritage and becomes a target for the Pale King.

This was a brilliant fast moving plot, with plenty of tense moments. The ending however was disappointingly rushed.
