A Shattered Mirror was a quick and really enjoyable read. Not very detailed, but i feel like Amelia leaves a lot to the imagination of the reader and that isn't necessarily a bad thing. I loved her use of poetry and artistic descriptions of scenery, but she might have described the setting a bit too much and the characters not quite enough. A WHOLE LOT of the descriptions of the vamps reminded me of Twilight by Stephanie Meyer, which i have read three times and is the best book ever published (I love Edward Cullen). Nevertheless, she did create some unique twists in the plot that i liked and the storyline was pretty good. But if Amelia leaves me hanging on whether or not Sarah comes back to Christopher i am going to unleash hell! Overall an awesome book that i finished in less than two hours. (:

This is my best friend's favorite book, and she asked me to read it. I must say I was dissapointed. I was astounded at the lack of character development throughout the beginning, and the sudden, unexplained shift in Sarah's opinions. At first she actively detested vampires, then, after knowing two for a few days, she suddenly considered them friends? With no warning, no building up to it? It didn't make sense at all. I hated Sarah's character, I hated how the book felt rushed, and I hated the fact that so much was left unanswered.

This is a truly awesome book. Atwater-Rhodes creates unique personalities for all her characters-they are so diverse. In my opinion that's what makes them so great. She seems to have a knack for including a bit of romance, and can definitely create some interesting pairs. The fact that she can do that is amazing-writing comes so naturally to her.
